Fund-A-Need

Support the Folk School!

What is Fund-A-Need?

By donating to our Fund-A-Need program, you help the Folk School fulfill its mission of bringing people together for experiences in learning and community life that spark self-discovery. Donation options include our annual fund, our program areas, scholarships, or specific items. We have a variety of specific needs, from painting easels and woodcarving workbenches to cooking studio shelves and golf carts.

You can browse your favorite studio/program area or check out projects and upgrades around campus at the right gift level for you. By donating, you become an enduring part of the Folk School and ensure a better experience for yourself and other learners.

How it works

As the Folk School continues to evolve, we recognize the importance of updating our web technologies and communications. Our new Fund-A-Need website showcases the impact of your donations through captivating stories that highlight the program you choose to support within our beloved school.

Each year, we will refresh our website with a list of items from the school’s capital project plans and the capital and program needs for our various studios, ones that will greatly benefit from your assistance in purchasing or offsetting the costs. When you make a donation, we will express our gratitude and recognition, and when an item is purchased, we will document its acquisition and the significant impact it has on our school.

Moreover, you can fund individual scholarships or provide overall program support for specific class areas such as Clay or Woodturning. Once you have made your choice, you can easily submit your payment via credit or debit card using our newly designed donation forms. Even the smallest contributions will go a long way.

We encourage you to regularly visit our Fund-A-Need webpage to stay updated on the wonderful things happening at the John C. Campbell Folk School.
