09 Nov Register for 2024 Online Winter Classes!
The Folk School is excited to offer a new series of online classes from January – April 2024. We invite you to join our online classes hosted though Lessonface, where you can be part of the Folk School experience from home.
Choose from over 47 classes in a variety of subjects such as cooking, fiber arts, music, dance, painting, woodworking and writing. Our online classes, just like our in-person ones, inspire non-competitive, hands-on learning in an encouraging and supportive environment. An instructor leads each session, offering demonstrations and conducting group feedback. Students are encouraged to delve into the finer points of their class subject and all of the classes that complete by the end of the March will have a group orientation and closing ceremony. If you’re a returning Folk School student, you’re sure to reconnect with that magical feeling of being on our campus. First-time students will learn what it means to “Sing Behind the Plow.”
We are pleased to offer these online classes in varying lengths and formats, based on the topic and instructor. Class sizes range from 8 to 24 students. Tuition ranges from $60–$600, depending on class length and size. Material requirements will depend on the class topic and skill level. Some sessions require only a pencil, while other students will receive a personalized kit from the instructor.
Browse and register for classes such as A Celebration of Bread, Bicycle Handlebar Basket, Introduction to Tapestry Weaving, Beginning Macrame, Cheesemaking, Beginning Mountain Dulcimer, and much more!
We hope you’ll join us from the comfort of your own home!
