Annie Fain Barralon is from Murphy, North Carolina a few miles from the John C. Campbell Folk School. She studied book and paper arts at Penland School of Crafts 2002. Annie Fain is known to sneak fiber arts techniques, particularly hand-embroidery, into her book designs. She teaches book arts, banjo and traditional dance regionally, is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and is a returning instructor at the John C. Campbell Folk School. She also utilizes mixed media and paints with watercolor as part of her creative practice.
