Teneriffe Needle Weaving & Pine Needle Basketry
Basketry, Needlework & Thread Art
July 22-28, 2012
Instructor: Nancy Gildersleeve
Tuition: $568.00
Experience the old Florida method of pine needle basketry by learning to make Teneriffe “starts” for the center of basket bases. Needle-woven within a ring, these designs are fun to create, and easier than they look! Discover how to coil and stitch Southern Longleaf Pine needles around them to form baskets (two to three are possible). Some coiled or pine needle basketry experience is helpful; good eyesight or magnification recommended.
