Firewood to Fine Art
Woodturning
November 1-7, 2009
Instructor: Robert C. Clemons
Tuition: $512.00
Expand your artistic turning talent while gaining experience with the bowl gouge. Learn to work with green wood and visit the firewood pile for blanks to turn in platters and bowls (some bark-edged). Safety, lathes, tool selection, sharpening, preparing blanks with a chain saw and bandsaw, chucking methods, power sanding, wood movement, and basic finishing will be discussed. All levels welcome.
