Marion Smith has been involved with woodworking since childhood. He has been making fine furniture for the past 25 years with primary focus on American period furniture before 1830, including both Colonial and Federal works. He also has a keen interest in Southern furniture. Marion is a member of the Society of American Period Furniture Makers and has served as a lecturer and presenter at its regional meetings. He has taught and mentored both youths and adults, and his works have been featured in a number of exhibitions, publications, and charity auctions.
