The Marionette
Dolls, Bears, & Figurative Sculpture, Sewing, Unique Offerings
June 10-16, 2012
Instructor: Leslie Molen
Tuition: $568.00
Making a marionette is very different from traditional dollmaking. Learn the basic mechanics of movement as you create a flowing and balanced body for a 24-inch wood and cloth marionette of your own. Working from a pattern, stitch and hand-color a theatrical face (male or female), then sew folk-style costuming. String your creation and marvel as you bring it to life. Experience in hand and machine sewing is the only requirement.
