Viking Spinner Lands in Appalachia
January 23-25, 2009 (Weekend)
Instructor: Noel Thurner
Tuition: $290.00
The Vikings sailed to all corners of the world, exploring (among other things) the indigenous fibers of each area. Yes, there were women on those Viking ships and they carried with them their hand spindles and other textile tools. Explore Nordic textile traditions using glorious Appalachian wools. All spinning levels are welcome, but please note that this is a hand-spindle class; no wheel work.
