Marguerite and Georg at Bidstrup Acres

Our May 31st Gala & Benefit Auction, last Saturday 11, 2016, was a success! We are still waiting on the official grand total, but we are happy that all proceeds raised will help improve the school’s sixteen on-campus studios and further our mission. We thank the artists who donated fine work, our many dedicated volunteers, our Folk School staff members, and our generous Auction guests.

Auction Continues Online

We continue our fundraising this week on online on our eBay auctions. Bid on 14 beautiful handcrafted items on our eBay page. Due to unique set of circumstances, the Folk School has been given the opportunity to auction off a number of personal household items that once belonged to Folk School founder, Marguerite Bidstrup. The donors have kept these items safe for many years, but they thought it would be best to put them up for auction in the hopes that others might now take their place in the safekeeping of these treasures and share in their joy of owning a piece of Folk School history.
