Artist Name: Melody Swindle

Artist Bio:
Melody Swindle is a folk artist who loves to create artwork that combines a passion to conserve the planet with a need to express positive, uplifting messages. Her favorite creative medium is mixed media using recycled and found materials. Her early creative endeavors focused mainly on the performing arts, and she actively studied music from childhood through college. In recent years she discovered a love of art and earned a degree in digital art. She was a member of two art organizations in Tampa Florida; Artists Unlimited, Inc. (AUI) an artist cooperative and the Ybor Art Association (YAA). She was selected as an emerging artist in 2002 by Avant Garde of Tampa Museum of Art. Under the name Heart & Soul, she has sold her artwork through various outdoor shows and art galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. She currently lives in Murphy, NC where she takes inspiration from the natural beauty of the mountains surrounding her.
