Artist Name: Sam Hibbs
Artist Bio:
Sam Hibbs started blacksmithing over 20 years ago wanting to make a sword, and got started by digging a hole in the backyard, filling it with charcoal, and borrowing his parents hairdryer to blow air into the fire. While he never made that sword, he has been making lots of snakes. He joined the Blacksmith Organization of Arkansas in 2012 and has been the resident blacksmith at the Ozark Folk Center State Park since 2018. Sam attended the Folk School as a work study in 2023 and is always looking for excuses to come back.
