Getting Here

A Brasstown road sign on the south end of campus.
Identified by Rand McNally Atlas as a "Best of the Road" destination, the Folk School is only two hours from Asheville, Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Knoxville, and is just a day's drive for half of the residents of the U.S.

We're located in westernmost North Carolina, seven miles east of Murphy, NC, off U.S. Highway 64, just north of Georgia's state line.

Atlanta Airport Shuttle Info:
The Folk School can also arrange airport pick-up service in Atlanta. Arrangements must be made with the office three weeks in advance of the course date. Please call for current rates: 1-800-FOLK-SCH (800-365-5724). Rates may fluctuate with fuel costs. Our shuttle service picks up at the airport at 2 p.m. on the class starting date; we suggest you arrive by 1:30 p.m. Departure flights must be scheduled after 1 p.m. on the class ending date for six-night week classes and after 5 p.m. for weekend and five-night week classes.
