Artist Bio: Lila taught and worked with a variety of folks in the art of doll making. She organized the Family Craft Center, “Shuckery & Wood Pretties,” of which there are 12 members (including the 4th generation) doing crafts from natural materials. This includes the dolls, flowers, and wreaths from corn husk and the wreaths, trees, and candlerings from ” wood pretties” such as pine cones, nuts, seed pods, etc.
