Al Trevillyan retired from chemical research and R&D management in 1993 and resumed the woodworking he began as a young man. He designs and builds equestrian accessories and furniture, accepts commissioned work, and enjoys teaching others skills they can use to enjoy woodworking. Al has taught classes in bandsaw basics, bandsaw boxes, end-grain butcher blocks, introductory woodturning, and mastering power tools at the Woodcraft store in Roswell, GA, and has taught at the Folk School since 2007. He is a member of the Woodworker's Guild of Georgia and the American Assoc. of Woodturners.
