Aran-style Knitting
Knitting
November 12-17, 2006 (Sunday-Friday Session)
Instructor: Charley Orlando
Tuition: $375.00
Aran knitting (fisherman style) features one color of yarn and uses stitches to create patterns like cables, diamonds, tree of life, or bobbles, which are then combined to make hats, sweaters, and other garments. Explore the following: how to knit and analyze Aran patterns to eventually produce such patterns without using the directions; how to design your own pattern combinations; and how to correct errors without unraveling rows of knitting. If you are able to knit and purl comfortably, you are ready for this class.
