Arborsculpture
Gardening, Nature Studies, Unique Offerings, Woodworking
November 1-7, 2009
Instructor: Richard Reames
Tuition: $512.00
Arborsculpture is a rare art form that uses live saplings to create living furniture and other structures like fences, gazebos, and bridges. Learn simple grafting, bending, and pruning techniques used to train trees into impressive, valuable creations. We'll plant and shape a living bench, and then turn imaginations loose to create designs both fanciful and utilitarian. Return home inspired to add trees to your home and community landscapes in very unusual ways.
