Traditional Joinery Projects
Blacksmithing
November 1-7, 2009
Instructor: Clay Spencer
Tuition: $512.00
Intermediate to advanced smiths ready to move to larger projects will use techniques such as scrolls, tenons, slit-upset-drifted holes, collars, lap joints, rivets, forge welds, upset square corners, and quatrefoils to make a project of personal design. Send a simple scale drawing of your design to the instructor by Oct. 1. Students must be competent at fire tending, cutting, drawing out smooth tapers, upsetting, bending, punching/slitting and some forge welding. (Possible scholarships available; contact the instructor.)
