Making an English Shaving Horse
Basketry, Woodworking
May 1-3, 2009 (Weekend)
Instructor: Tom Donahey
Tuition: $290.00
A shaving horse is an indispensable tool for chair makers, basket makers, and handle makers. This is your chance to make your very ownójust like the one you may have used here at the Folk School. Using mostly power tools, each student will construct a shaving horse out of yellow pine (with some plywood and hardwood). Open to any level, but students must be comfortable using power tools and be prepared for long hours.
