Contemporary Folk Textiles in Overshot
Weaving
January 11-17, 2009
Advanced Week
Instructor: Wendy Sunquist
Tuition: $562.00
Examine 19th-century pattern and color choices weavers used for overshot, monksbelt, and rosepath coverlets. Gain inspiration for designing and weaving a delicate, drapable, contemporary scarf. Fine yarns of silk and cotton in rich and varied colors will be the focus, as well as elegant finishing techniques. This is an intermediate-level class; students must be able to warp a loom independently.
