Watering the Folk School's garden
Work-Study Students live as a group at the Folk School for nine weeks. During this time they work six of the weeks and take Folk School classes for three of the weeks. The work is mostly outdoors on the gardens and grounds, but there are other duties as well which may include weekends. Work-Study Students must be in good physical condition and be able to do sometimes strenuous labor in all kinds of weather conditions.

The number of work-study positions is limited. Please note that applicants not accepted into a session may be invited to reapply for a subsequent session. Applicants are generally selected and notified about four months before each session starts. Application fee is good for one year.
A former host practices woodturning at the Folk School
Student Hosts live at the School for a four month period, and are responsible for making sure that students have a good experience. In exchange, Student Hosts may take one class each week.
