Vision, Mission, Values

For 95 years, the Folk School has transformed lives, and brought people together in a nurturing environment for experiences in learning and community life that spark self-discovery.

We offer year-round weeklong and weekend classes for adults in craft, art, music, dance, cooking, gardening, nature studies, photography and writing. All students and visitors are encouraged to become a part of the community through all-school activities such as concerts, dances, presentations and meals.

Student Carol Robinson, says about her class experience, "Both instructors were excellent craftsmen and fine people. They went the 'extra mile' and more to instruct each student in what he or she wished to learn. It was a joy and a privilege to be in their class." Carol is not an exception. Many students have equally great things to say about their experience at a Folk School class and return again and again.

We hope that you will join us and be a part of our incredible community. We invite you to find your place at the Folk School.

We hope to see you soon,

The Folk School Staff
